Fire Department

Port Chester Fire TruckThe members of the Port Chester Volunteer Fire Department are united by their professionalism, dedication, integrity, and training to protect all the residents of the Village of Port Chester, the Westchester County Airport, and our neighboring community, the Village of Rye Brook. It is our everyday mission to preserve life and property, and promote public safety.

The Port Chester Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1823 as a volunteer fire company. Today the dedicated men and women of our department continue to work hard to protect our residents as they did in the nineteenth century.

Our department operates out of four firehouses with locations throughout the Village of Port Chester. Today's Department consists of seven volunteer companies with a large roster of volunteer firefighters and is commanded by a volunteer chief and two assistants.

It is our hope you will enjoy visiting the department website to learn about the dedicated men and women who make up our department.
